New to the Test Kitchen: Nutrition 1.1 Beta 1

Nutrition 1.1 beta 1 is now available from the Test Kitchen. It allows you to add your own nutritional items to the database, and it includes fixes for some calculation errors and a few other bugs. It also features an update to the latest data available from the USDA, SR20.

I've been doing a lot of testing so things should be pretty stable and correct at this point. Still, if you encounter any problems, please use Send Feedback in the MacGourmet Help menu to send a report. Include the recipe as well, as an attachment. Note you could see some nutritional value changes if you recalculate, both because of updated information from the USDA, and the fixes added (if you happened to have data that hit the problems). Updated documentation is still pending.

I just downloaded and am using Nutrition 1.1 beta. Thank you for providing a feature to add nutritional information. Some observations -

I cannot figure out how to enter new mappings with 1.1 - so I use 1.0.2 to enter mappings and 1.1 to add new items.

The list of nutritional values for an item from the USDA SR20 is substantially longer than the list available for added items. Will you be expanding the list for added items?

Would you consider an option to edit an existing USDA SR20 item and then saving it as a new item so as to retain the integrity of the USDA data?

Please, if you have any problems, use Send Feedback to send them in, rather than posting here, just because it's easier to track that way.

There should be no difference in making mappings from one version to another, that hasn't changed at all. If you are having a problem then I'll need more information. Thanks, Michael
